New Arcane analysis channel is here https://www.youtube.com/@CtR-Movies-and-Shows . More content will be added soon.

One detail that I'm glad you picked up on: the only time we see Jinx looking afraid is when she's confronting things inside her own head (memories, feelings, insecurities) - but whenever she faces an external threat, she's completely devoid of fear.  Great way of showing how intense her inner trauma is - that nothing else in the external world can compare to it.

It's nice to see how much empathy you have for Silco, his crew and why people are taking Shimmer. I've seen some people overlook their struggles and label them "bad" but it's far more complicated than that

Vi had been in jail for the whole 7 years, since she got abducted by the enforcer at the end of ep 3

I love that you're doing the reaction separately,  digesting the episodes, processing, and then giving the therapist analysis. I love it! ❤

MSc of Psychology here. About that scene of Jinx hugging Silco like that at 33:30, I think it's another very obvious indicator of her BPD. If you remember back in episode 3, when Vi comes back to the basement to tell Mylo, Clagger and Powder that Vander had been taken, young powder jumps into Vi's arms and hugs her in exactly the same way, with a sense of relief that she hadn't been abandoned by Vi. This scene of Jinx hugging Silco is an exact copy of that scene, and she is now hugging Silco with the same sense of relief that "Hey, I got you this gemstone, please don't forsake me". Again, very obvious sign of BPD and the concept of "favourite person", and showing how young Powder's favourite person was Vi as a kid, but how that is changed now, and she has shifted that "favourite person" role to Silco now as a young adult.

Silco was complaining about hextech and hexgates, about how they were more cut off and left behind by topside thanks to them. So what does jinx do when Silco benches her and she takes that as an insult? Steals hextech for him, of course.

you might be interested to know that Fortiche designed two facial rigs for Powder/Jinx - each one subtlely changes her face to animate the change in personality and allows them to instantly toggle between her expressions - as you shall see.

Spoiler free notes that might be important to point out!
- The scenes between Jinx and Silco are made to feel a bit weird / uncomfortable for viewers, but in the end they're a father and a daughter
- Vi is in prison because Marcus took her away in s1e3 after Vi had to take some space between herself and powder
- No one (besides Marcus) knows who Vi is or that Vi is even alive, she's assumed to be dead or otherwise gone permanently

26:58 Viktor did call Jayce a bit of an egotist in episode 2 when mentioning signing every single page of his notebook

i mean who goes around drinking out of a cup with their own face on?

edit: miss spelled the names

There aren't many characters in fiction that needs a team of therapists more than Jinx. My girl needs help.

31:18 I believe it was Viktor in ep 2 “Do you think it was my life’s work to be an assistant?” or something like that

Sir, I absolutely love your reactions. Also, don't concern yourself with people who leave awful comments about "It was obvious!!!! How could you not know?!?!?!?!" WE didn't know when we first watched Arcane.

Anyways, I love these and how sincere your approach to the reactions are.

I like that you immediately clocked schizophrenia and BPD as possible conditions for Jinx, as those are the two most popular interpretations for her. Personally I'm in the BPD camp for it, but she wasn't written to have any specific diagnoses, and they left room for interpretations.

I always love seeing everyone's reactions to episode 4 after episode 3, it is always such a good followup.

the song played when silco come to jinx´s "teenager lair" is called "get jinxed" it was her introduction to league of legend. first time we players saw the charakter. its a nice easter egg

The episode is so good because there was a large time jump, a motivated time jump in which Jayce and Viktor changed the world, and the city, characters and dynamics have changed so much ... and yet the show presents it all through dynamic scenes only. Rather than long exposition, montages or titles etc. It lets us discover it in the moments.

Fun fact: Since every surface and texture etc. has been painted by hand, everything has some kind of edge to it, nothing is perfectly round. The only exception to this is the Hextech gemstone!

13:00 it’s interesting how jinx’s expression changes from chuckles and big almost innocent eyes to quite sinister and angry right as Sevika looks away from her.
Feels almost like a childish rebellion, wanting to express yourself but not wanting get in a confrontation

I ended up subscribing to your patreon to listen to your arcane content. I've never actually joined a youtuber's patreon before. Really enjoying your takes (thanks for not seeking out spoilers and giving a raw reaction with interesting commentary)
