It’s honestly alarming on how many people genuinely believe that if you wear sunscreen, you won’t tan.

Whenever someone says “I don’t want chemicals in my body” I usually lose it and scream “YOUR BODY IS CHEMICALS!”

I've never heard someone without clinical depression validate clinical depression the way you did. Thank you so much. Legit made me cry in a good way.

I'm allergic to sun screen and I'm still depressed. Check and mate. 🤨

Thank you for explaining how clinical depression is different from depressive episodes. I’ve had so many people say “just exercise and eat well to cure your depression”- meanwhile my brain can’t make serotonin or oxytocin✨🧍

Fun fact: when you sunburn and it peels, that's basically your body determining during the cell replication process that it is better for the skin cells to just die off than to become cancerous

"doing the healthiest thing a human can possibly do, out in the sun, no sunscreen, this is how we heal" Me, a redhead: "no, sir, this is how we peel"

Bruh… as a black person who lives near the equator, we don’t even like being in the sun… and those of us who can afford sun screens, buy it and still avoid the sun… the sun is absolutely unforgiving here and could literally give you heatstroke if you are directly under(no shade at all) it for a few minutes… I wish he’d come and “enjoy” the sun here… he’d be a raisin in a day.

The fact that he's obviously sunburnt makes this so much funnier

'If you're mentally unwell, stop taking your prescriptions and go outside without sunscreen' is such wild advice.

The point about Cooper being a pirate is scarily accurate, I can see him in nearly any setting because of who he is, be it a librarian, someone owning a cafe, a pirate, a surfer boy, a hype coach, leading womens book club each tuesday; he just fits in every setting lmao

The bit about him being anti-vax makes so much sense and somehow is the one thing that convinces me he’s too far gone. No critical thinking. Only sunlight.

i love how we can always rely on cooper to have absolutely nothing negative to say ab women/women’s physical appearances its so refreshing

I’m a physician, let me say, we WANT y’all to be healthy. I’m a kidney doctor, I’d love for everyone to have healthy kidneys and never be on dialysis. I support natural ways to protect your kidneys, but when those don’t work, ya need medicine.

So refreshing to finally hear someone criticize the whole “gO in tHe sUn anD yoU WoNt bE dEprEsSed” for ppl with clinical depression. As someone who struggles with it, nothing is more degrading than ppl like this saying well if you go outside and eat clean you’ll be better! Oml I wish that was the case.

Edit: just to clarify, I’m talking about the people who think a walk or some Sun will cure a clinical disorder I’m not trying to say that some healthy habits like physical activity, going outside, eating healthy, etc won’t help supplement the treatment of depression but it’s not some curable no big deal thing where you get a little Sun and it all goes away 🙄 tired of the toxic positivity surrounding depression

9:39 as a gay i give you permission to say that word

This dude legit scares me. I have bipolar disorder and it is baffling the amount of people I encounter that try to convince me my diagnosis isn't real. I've stopped taking my meds because of people like this and put myself in really bad places because of it.

As a woman who consistently asks men if they are wearing sunscreen, I feel seen.

Instead of saying I'm disabled and overweight, i am now referring to myself as a damaged fat

I'm White Scottish, I burn under a bright bulb! I got second-degree burns WITH sunscreen on when I was younger. I don't tan, I burn. EVERYONE no matter what their skin tone is requires  sunscreen to a degree.
