I have noticed over the course of watching Sreetips videos, that his silver and gold is just as valuable for the metal as it is for the prestige of it having Sreetips stamped on the piece. I mean how cool would that be, to wear a gram of either silver or gold stamped by Sreetips...
Not surprised it came up a bit short... you took out quite a bit of karat scrap from that original 1023g of material, as well as the iron and stainless pieces in the nitric processing. That karat scrap might make up a good bit of the shortage.
I do wonder if you could take the karat scrap with the filtered silver chloride into a melt dish and 'inquart' them together... liberating the chloride as a gas. Obviously that karat scrap is unknown percentage to begin with, so ending up with powder/colloidal is a possibility already.
Those wide GF bracelets have a brass hinge and clasp that's lead soldered in and weighs a few grams. I heat them to melt the lead solder and the brass pops out easily. Saves acid. I'm frugal!
