you have no idea how torturous this was to watch before cooking dinner

Korea's obsession with making savory dishes slightly sweet needs to be studied. 😭 That being said, I have an obsession with mul naengmyeon and could eat it every day, I'm convinced.

5:27 your moms laugh is so contagious this moment was cute

Emily being better at explaining food than her own art process is such a mood.

It may just be me but I think I caught the tradition of “parents think you need more of the shrimp/meal in your meal” in some of the video footage. Couldn’t help but giggle

About these "weirdly sweet things" - I've heard fellow Europeans say Koreans tend to have their food either sweet or spicy and that things that in Europe are comonnly salty are often sweet in Korea - an example that got engraved the most into my memory is garlic bread, which in Europe is, well, salty and garlicky, sometimes served with cheese, but in Korea it's SWEEET, which is unfathomable for us... And the same was with plain yoghurt, it was supposedly hard to get an unsweetened one (at least that's what I heard)

LOVE THAT AT 4:04 MORE FOOD IS BEING ADDED TO THE BOWL 😂

might change the thumbnail idk i drew it a few days ago but im not feeling it anymore
so if you see it switch out later today dont be alarmed haha ;;
What's everyone's favorite korean dish? I never get tired of bibimbap! Could probably eat it every day. Yukgaejang (Spicy beef and vegetable soup) is my second favorite!

why did i think emily ate the sticker sheet 😭😭

3:19 you need to come to nyc for a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel at a corner deli and you'll have a life changing experience after you had one

7:49
"I picked up a sticker sheet, which tasted really good-"

These videos make me wish I had friends to do fun food activities with so baaad 😭

2:55 South Korea has a tendency to make traditionally western foods sweeter. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I don't know, it's just something I noticed.

11:46 The Einspänner actually comes from Viennese Coffee Culture, where it is pretty much an Espresso with whipped cream and powedered sugar. Nice to see that you liked it and that it's served in Korea too!!

5:21 EMILY SPEAKING KOREAN?? YOURE GETTING BETTER YAYYYYY

8:53 it was When We Disco by JYP, wasn’t it 😭

A VIDEO WITH EMILY IS AN AMAZING DAY❤❤❤❤

Fun fact:
In Persian cuisine, the “toasted” rice at the bottom of the pan is called “taddik” and is served with the meal!  It is so good and you eat it with khoresh (Persian stews) and salt.  Sometimes we even put pita bread or sliced potatoes at the bottom of the pan when making rice (usually basmati rice) to toast them! 🤤😋 ok I need to stop talking abt Persian food now😅
