McGraw's "Humble and Kind" is a beautifully edited video offering a worthy message.

You don’t hear this song for the first time. You FEEL this song for the first time!

RIP to all the fallen.

It has become somewhat of a tradition that U.S. military write a "final letter home" to loved ones just in case they are killed. This song lets the listener know what it's like to receive such a letter.

I’m a former Army attack helicopter pilot with combat experience. I put my family and friends through hell wondering if I would come home. I came back…many friends didn’t. Thank you for your reaction.

This was a letter my Grandfather had to write to my Grandmother. He was killed in action in 1943.

A powerful and deeply emotional message.

This song is one of the most beautiful, heartbreaking, and heartwarming songs I can think of. Vince Gill’s “Go Rest High on That Mountain “ is also very touching.

That style of country music has a mantra called 3 chords and the truth. This weekend in the US is Memorial Day that is a national holiday to remember those that died in battle There is a song called Arlington by Trace Adkins that would be fitting to play.Or run the video for this song.

While deployed to Balad AB, Iraq in 2009, I wrote one of these letters to my wife, kids, and family, just in case I didn't make it back. So, this song hits home like no other each and every time I hear it!!

Happy Memorial Day and God bless the family's of our fallen warriors.

Most of us when we were in hot zones had a death letter. This song is basically reading one Soldier's letter. After deploying 6 times I always discarded mine each time when I knew I was going home. No one ever knew what they said.

In Country Music the official videos almost always give so much more context to the lyrics than live performances. The videos in some cases can even prevent a misunderstanding of what the artist is actually singing about.
