SPANISH FOOD: NOT EVEN BIAS CAN SAVE SOME OF THESE

Kinkymation

We started with British food, then we went classic with Mexican food, then worldwide with chinese food and this time we bring it home. After Spain won the Worldcup (Fireworks) Lily decided to make the next chapter of dine or dash about it's food. Some dishes she probably already knows but... what about those dishes of the dark lore?

Fun fact: eating a brain raw or cooked makes no difference for getting a prion disease if it was contaminated because prions are nearly indestructible. Research lab equipment that comes into contact with prions is regulated to be incinerated after use for this reason.

So as a spaniard and specifically Catalan, I feel like it's my duty to explain the Calçots. They're not burnt nor you eat them like that. They're put on a grill and cooked, once done, the burnt part is peeled and what you get is a very tender vegetable that with the romescu sauce is basically the best shit that you can get here.
Or at least top 3.

Spain apparently has three different types of food.
Some of the best stuff you'll ever eat.
Eldritch body horrors beyond comprehension.
SOUP.

That Dallas Review Sound on dash caught me off-guard

I was blown away when I went to Spain because literally everything I ate there was among the best things I've ever eaten, simply because of the quality of the produce. I normally don't like raw tomatoes or peppers but Spanish tomato bread and stuffed peppers are incredible. If I lived in Spain I'd either be extremely healthy just from eating so many tomatoes and peppers or unhealthy from all the croquetas de jamon.

Also had a similar experience in Portugal last year. Iberian Peninsula is just built different.

"I don't think I would have a garlic soup"

My central Canadian ass raised on Ukranian food: "I would eat the garlic soup even if every part of it was garlic. Blended garlic base with garlic pieces and garlic oil"

Not a single Canary Islands dish in here, not even Papas arrugadas con mojo picón, especially when she was saying there is nothing spicy in Spain :(

Hopefully we eventually get Dine or Dash Puerto Rico, in honor of The Hood joining Marvel Rivals.

30:10 Also in fairness to the rats during Black Death, it’s was the fleas who were the carriers of the diseases and just as many rats died from that as well, and public health wasn’t a priority to peasants in the 1300’s so you can imagine why fleas would also bounce from the dead rats to the just as dirty humans.

Fun fact, wild hares are so genetically different from bunnies that they cannot interbreed even infertile mixed breeds. Canines are actually close enough related in many cases that they can often produce fertile mixed breeds (and not just dog plus wolf).

Side note: Lord Trash gave another 100 subs to Luminusred when she watched Kinky's video about Palworld 1.0. Bless that rich Furry.

28:17 that is NOT Morcilla de Burgos. That's a regular blood sausage. Morcilla de Burgos is filled with rice as opposed to other morcillas or blood sausages in Spain. It's also DELICIOUS when fried or grilled. There's even a tapa called "cojonudo" which consists in a slice of Morcilla de Burgos, a spicy pepper and a sunny side up quail egg served on top of a slice of bread. It's amazing and you should definitely give a try to the real deal.
