I was the lead programmer (and creative director) for this title 20+ years ago. The team was very talented and extremely enthusiastic. Unfortunately, we couldn't afford to make the team bigger than 14 due to the severely-limited budget. On top of that, nobody in the team had any experience in writing codes for 3D graphics, not to mention the very unfamiliar platform PS2, but we overcame challenges after challenges and managed to build and ship a networked action adventure game, literally starting from a 100-line Sony example. While it was a commercial failure, I still cherish every moment and am very proud of every member. Thank you very much for the video and nostalgia!

Pretty awesome to see someone still playing my translation! Thanks for the laughs man. Great video. P.S.: They're actually vampires. That's what they wrote in Korean. I wish I had made it up, but I assure you I didn't.

Btw, there are 4 endings. It's dependent on RNG with a data stick you pick up. If you picked up the B stick, helping Allen will allow him to help you fight Kaiser and helping Jennifer has her turn on you. But if you picked up the H stick, helping Jennifer allows her to help you beat Kaiser and helping Allen will have him turn on you. In the H stick route, there's a stinger at the end that implies Jennifer survives if you help her.

Jennifer with her sad face constantly saying, "Brucesuh" is the  best thing ever. 33:24

> snoops on Grim's Steam list
"Freddie Fish"
> ah, a man of exquisite taste.

Imagine Jill at the end or RE on the helicopter going "We survived a resident evil"
That is the level in which bruce at the end calls this a "mystic night"

"I am the table" fucking KILLED me

That steam scroll with the "there is nothing to play" got me. I feel that on a spiritual level.

I swear most of the characters look like they were designed using the same base male/base female template.

Also in an alternate reality where this game somehow got Resident Evil levels of popularity you just know there'd be some crazy Allen/Bruce fandom.

Damn, monster designs look awesome, would be great if that game would get an "Evil Within"-like remake.

Legit love this game's art style. The hand drawn illustrations, monster designs, and weird Giger textures in places make for the perfect box art that would fool you into a Blockbuster rental. Shame the game is so repetitive. I get an unusual feeling when seeing the character portraits, as if the artist had done some less savory work for a Nitroplus game or something I would've played in my edgy teens.

Monica telling Bruce, the guy who she left for his best friend, to never forget her with her final words after they presumably haven't seen each other or spoken in what may be years is probably the most fucked up thing I have ever seen a love interest do and I watched MSG: Stardust Memory.

I genuinely remember playing the Bots MMO. I remember I scammed someone out of a ton of in-game credits by promising to trade them some amazing equipment if they sent me the credits in the in-game mail. I was so ashamed of myself I never opened the game again.

The characters teleporting around and getting into trouble thing is a really infuriating trope that I'm frustrated has gone on this long.  To be fair, the original RE games are guilty of it as well.

20:58 A still frame of the Virgin Bruce walking away from the Chad Allen is something I never thought I would see in this survival horror game

Oh holy fuck, I just started this video, and seeing that Grim owns Alone in the Dark (2008) makes me desperate for a retrospective on it. It was such an interesting, jank-ass game with so many cool (if badly implemented) ideas. Plus some of its soundtrack was fucking amazing.

Grim, you're doing so well lately.
You're really gonna go places. I'm proud of how hard you work. Keep it up, but also take care of yourself. :)

Just bought an original physical copy of this game in Seoul 2 weeks ago. It is now extremely collectible and sought after in South Korea.

The really nails the look of "nexxon pc mmo action game from 2004"

16:20 I already laughed like three times “PICK A LANE KELLY”
