Hi Taku...experienced boater here. Recommend you have a spare prop and necessary tools to swap a prop while on water. Also, a spare plug at the rear of the transom. Never run the engine out of the water without earmuffs to keep the water pump lubricated as they will burn up in just a few seconds if they are dry. Trailer bearings are important to keep an eye on for salt water damage as are all other metal components. It's good practice to rinse all down with fresh water after every dip in the ocean. When in doubt, always replace the battery early vs. too late as there's no auto club out there to jump start. Or, one of those lithium pocket batteries will be good insurance in case of a main battery failure.
Good idea that you installed a marine radio...Those Boston Whalers are the best...good choice.

Retired USCG Lt. Cmdr here. Thank you so much for immediately putting on your PFD. You'll find many states require it to be worn when boating solo. Many good recommendations below. Pick up a flair gun kit. In near waters they are how the Coast Guard finds you. And then, just because I and every other boater has done it, before the trailer goes down the ramp MAKE SURE THE PLUG IS IN! Enjoy your Boston Whaler! They are amazing craft and virtually unsinkable.

Damn Taku, look at how far you've come. It doesn't seem that long ago when you were floundering around as a newb, but not letting your inexperience stop you from sharing your journey. Look at you now with a sweet rig! Well done!

Roscoe is blessing the boat in his own way!!😂 I'm sure y'all will have a gr8 time boating, fishing, catching, cooking/grilling, foraging, eating, and IPA!! ENJOY!! HAVE FUN!! BE SAFE!!🛥⚓👍

4:50 what an interesting ramp. No dock connected to the ramp.... super brave for picking that ramp as a first timer.

Niiice!  Congrats and thanks for allowing us to see your new toy.  Just remember, you still have the second happiest day of your life to look forward to.....when you sell it!

Congrats on the boat! As a small boat owner myself, I can appreciate the thrill and excitement of having a new boat.  I just wanted to echo the safety comments others have made about making sure you’re always wearing the kill switch when you’re in gear.  Trust me, I learned the hard way.   Also,  I would recommend you turn the motor off when you’re not driving because I believe the control on that boat doesn’t have a lock, so you could accidentally hit in gear as you’re walking around the boat and then lose  balance and fall off the boat while your boat continues on without you…Again, I learned that lesson the hard way!   Last thing, I totally recommend a trolling motor with Spot lock.  It’s worth it!

YAY!!!!! SO HAPPY FOR YOU BRO!!! Feels like WE got a boat!!! Congrats dude!! Cant wait to see more fishing content!

Congratulations Taku…get a nice fish finder,  live well ,Lipo batteries and Trolling Motor and you’re Gucci.
Name: SS Rosco

My man!! That is one of the CRAZIEST boat launches I've ever seen! Like not having the ramp next to the docks is wild!

I rarely comment on anything. But, I just want to say that I am so proud of you and Jocelyn! You guys both work so hard for all of this ❤

LOVE TO SEE IT !! Well deserved bro 👏👏👏 Definitley deserve way more subs as well

What a perfect boat for the type of fishing you generally do.  Small enough to take anywhere, but very stable!  Congratulations!!

Welcome to the club. I'm so happy for you. Make sure you flush that outboard after every trip with a product like Salt Away or Salt terminator. Boat Maintenance is constant.

Taku, consider investing in power poles. They anchor you where you want, as long as you want without throwing an anchor and all the line and chain.

BARZ!!!! Great job Taku! Handled the maiden voyage like a pro!  I’m down to go out with you and split the fuel costs. Super proud of you and Joslyn for your continued success and amazing accomplishments! 💯

Taku, you did amazing and you did it by yourself. I mean everything was a lot for the first time and in addition, you filmed it in epic fashion. Great video!

Congrats on the new boat!!1 dont forget to wear that kill switch cable. I have seen too many people fall out of boats and the boat doesnt stop. Be safe out there.

Man you living my dream and I’m sure so many mor me of owning a boat.  Beyond happy for you.  What an attestation of the hard work, passion and love you’ve put in since day one.  Wishing you much success and safety going forward!   So looking forward to many more productive adventures on the new ride!!!!
