Everyone laughed when they heard the news. A man who spent his life working construction, never owned a pet, never wanted one — walking out of a rescue with a 20lb Maine Coon nobody else would take. They said it wouldn't last a week. What happened inside that house proved every single one of them wrong.
Duke, a 20-pound "main coon cat" with a big personality, spent 47 days in an "animal shelter", returned once for being too demanding. This "giant cat" carried himself like royalty, waiting for the right person. This "touching story" shows how a construction foreman named Gary walked into Hartwell Rescue and met Duke, proving that every "rescue cat" deserves a chance.
