That Hruodland Pilot Turbine is hard to beat. I bought one during the anniversary sale and love it. It is really well built and very comfortable on the wrist.

I love that the YN55 is slowly taking the place of the NH35, which has suddenly obtained "high class" status since Casio put it in their Automatic and basically hoarded all the NH35s available on the market.
The YN55/F6922 is at least as accurate as the NH35. I have it in my Kamasu and Kanno and the accuracy is +5sec/day, the same as the NH35s in my Invicta Bluesy (TMI) and my Invicta 1953 (SII).
YN55 in a Aliexpress diver means you basically get a Kamasu for Timex Harborside Quartz money!
In the words of the Orange Freak, "so much winning!".

Great list!!
I wish that they released a 40 mm variant with smaller l2l of that hroudland pilot for us small wrist folks out there!

The Addiesdive AD2513 homages the old Longines Hydroconquest and not the Sub.

Have had my eye on the Rollstimi for a while, but, it's sold out in the blue colourway I want. Great list, something to like about them all.

Prices for watches from AliExpress have doubled and more from last year. Not a chance.

What’s the closest watch you can get to a Seiko speed timer or omega speedmaster

@george-florinconstantin4141 4 months ago

I have had the Addiesdive AD2513 for almost a year now and it is the absolute best watch for the price. I got it for 50EURO, shipping included.
The dial is superb and very few videos and pictures do it justice.
The build quality is superior to the Orient Kamasu and the Lume is insanely strong and long lasting, in good Addiesdive tradition.
If you ever decide to buy a Casio Duro, don't! Buy the AD2153! You get the same movement in a Case+Bracelet that put to shame any Seiko DressKX Dive Style watch.

I have the Sinn and IWC turbine homages. Love them both. The militado is a daily wearer for sure. I prefer the watchdiver seamaster homages to what you had here, but always good to learn about new designs and brands. Thanks!

I would love to hear your opinion on octopus kraken watches

@jasonweeks6318 4 months ago

those are all nice, but im in the states and receive a 404 with all of them as usual.

The intelligent man avoids homage watches as much as possible and focuses on original designs as much as possible.

I don't know why people need a date, especially on an automatic watch that isn't as accurate as a quartz. I look at my phone in the morning and I know the date. I actually have a tougher time remembering the day than the date.
