Laya reacts to "Every Single Warhammer Space Marine Legion in a Nutshell" by @Bricky
Original Video: Every Single Warhammer Space Marine Legion...

This video I’m reacting to the expansive history of the Space Marine Legions in the Warhammer 40k universe explained by Bricky. I’m still new to the Warhammer 40,000 world so I appreciate any answers that you’re able to give to my questions or if I mispronounce stuff wrong feel free to inform me! My initial favorite going into this was the Salamanders because of their whole protecting the civilians thing. The nightmare fuel of the Night Lords does call to me too even though it’s the opposite of the somewhat wholesome Salamanders. My favorite legion changes everytime a new one is introduced though.

We even get to learn about the Horus Heresy and how it led to the fall of a Primarch. I get to learn about how petty the Iron Warriors can be and how the Alpha Legion are the master of scheming. If you wonder what legion is this VTuber’s favorite then you should check it out. If you read this far into the description then I’m a little surprised to be honest, but hi hello this is a special hello you reader.

Fun fact: Once, during a battle, the Salamanders arrived to support a Space Marine chapter called the Malevolent, who were fighting against the Orks. This chapter didn't care if civilians died, and even used them as bait to lure the Orks. When the Salamanders' Chapter Master found out what they had done to the civilians, he went and literally locked himself in with the Malevolent captain and beat the crap out of him for causing civilian deaths.

The irony is that the Imperial faith is based on a book that Logar wrote.

Bricky kinda mixed up the Red Thirst and the Black Rage:
The Red Thirst always afflicted the Blood Angels, but Sanguinius taught them how to keep it in check most of the time. Also sometimes they could come back to their senses if they weren't already too far gone.
The Black Rage happened after after Sanguinius' death, and once a Blood Angel starts seeing Horus there is no going back. Before they go completely insane they are moved into the Death Company, a special unit where the members hope in a glorious death in battle before forcing their brothers to put them down.

I'm sure someone else has already mentioned this, but if you search "Sanguinius Speech" you'll get an incredibly well voiced speech that Sanguinius gives, and he mentions how he perceives his impeding death. Huge recommend.

As for the non-legion marine factions, you might like the small Blood Angels chapter called The Lamenters. Think of the Salamanders, but even more devoted to protecting civilians, and literally cursed with bad luck.

For those we cherish, we die in glory.

5:31 after many different videos I realised, the way Vulcan is looking at the right corner at the toad, it can also can be interpreted as him wanting to pet whatever Vtuber is watching

The Night Lords are canonically streamers, taking after Curze.

They stream their terror tactics as a way to bring fear to the populace....though it's funny because you can think of them accepting donations and subs as they skin jaywalkers alive.

One thing that the Alpha Legion did: Made an entire planet rain snakes.

The best way to summarize Konrad Curze is if you dialed the worst aspects of Batman and the Punisher up to 11 and combined them into one character. Funny thing is, the Night Lords novel trilogy is widely considered one of the best things to come out of the Black Library and is a big part of why they're so popular.

With amount of Vtubers getting into Warhammer 40K lore thanks to Bricky we can actually recreate Horus Heresy event with them alone.

The Iron Warriors use the Chaos gods for their goals. They're so bad*ss that if they end up with like a mutated limb, they'll just cut it off and replace it with a mechanical limb. They're a walking middle finger to the the Emperor and the Chaos gods.

Iron within, Iron without!

1:01:39 Oh no. Magnus in fact did nothing wrong. His Dad ,The Emperor, told him to do nothing. And He did it WRONG.

The Alpha Legion is my favorite legion too but only because I'm Alpharius.

So the thing with angron hating his legion was that he never wanted to lead them in the first place. During his rebellion from his slave holders, he was actually hoping to die with all his other warriors that he fought with because he would've at least died to be free. But what happened was the big E teleported him and only him to the ship to save him. This caused resentment from the get go. So seeing the legion when he met them had him like "these aren't my people they are only more slaves to the strongest master." So they did the nails on themselves with the hope of getting his approval because some marines see their primarch basically as their father. Like how a kid would see their dad in their mind. So their entire relationship was doomed from the start.

There's a pattern in the 40k community where most newcomers like Salamanders at first, and a lot of women like Tyranids and Orks. They're all cool, though.
