A slow, atmospheric jazz-blues track led by a distant, expressive saxophone.
Inspired by 1940s film noir, this is music for quiet rooms and smoky thoughts — gently unfolding in the stillness of night.

🎷 Great for:
• Late-night writing or studying
• Noir-inspired background ambiance
• Solitary moments and moody nights
• Fans of minimal, slow jazz

I'm not lying. I come home after a hard day's work, nine hours in a restaurant in northern Germany. Understaffed. YouTube suggests this video to me. I turn it on, open the windows, and relax. It feels so good. Thirty-eight minutes later. 🚬🍺

After two years of writing and almost another two years of proofreading, I am only three weeks away from getting my first novel published. It was all worth it in the end

Listening to this at 12:34 AM on Christmas Day after I was gifted a saxophone by my mother.

What a delightful part of YouTube this is. On the eve of semi early retirement at 44 with a Davidoff cigar and a glass of Japanese whiskey, the tunes here is what I needed. The comments here are pure joy. To you all whom read this may you find a moment of pure bliss in this crazy world.

Turning 40 hit me harder than I thought. So I went back to my hometown, same dusty streets, same faces I grew up with. We sat on the porch, cracked a few cold ones, and let some old jazz records spin. 🎷. For a moment, it felt like time stood still. The laughter, the stories, the music… it all reminded me who I was before life got loud. That’s the power of soul music — it doesn’t just play, it brings you home.

Maybe Im just another broken veteran, But the soldier in me hasn't died, and this music keeps that war within at bay. Kudos to the vibes.

Trust yourself. That's the starting point and give it your best. And, always have the humility to acknowledge not everything turns out as you would wish for. That rare habit of accepting evertthing as they turn out is the key to happiness. I am 61 this year and am still struggling. I had always look to external validation, not my own. I am still trapped. Don't fall for this trap.
