As a non Māori New Zealander, I get teary eyed and feel so much pride when I watch/listen to any kapa haka groups ❤

It’s a song about loved ones who passed.

Well done with the pronunciation, appreciate your reaction and on a spiritual level you really didn't need it to be translated. Much love and blessings

TO THE WORLD WHO SEE AND ENJOY OUR CULTURE!!!This is what our NATIONAL government is legally trying to stop.....our way of expression , our dignity , our language , our lands , our culture.

In a country where there are so many people (including the government) still trying to erase their culture, having your support is such a heart warming feeling. Ngā mihi nui rawa kia koe ē hine 🎉

“Te Ahi Kai Po” by Teeks live at the Auckland Town Hall. It will absolutely move you, I guarantee it. 😊

Thank you for your genuine review of this much-loved Māori performance. I felt the intensity and passion of the words and movements. Much love from Aotearoa/New Zealand ❤❤❤

Great video, thank you! The groups didn't actually make into it the finals round, this song won people's choice. It was a new award won by public vote, which made it a really special kind of win.

I cant wait til you get to my stan walker request.

This is a beautiful display of culture when so many have no roots.
To keep your language, culture and all that it comes with is a blessing

Im so greatful to my ancestors who were able to keep record of our culture and to the Russians who saved my people from the spanish and the settlers.
