I've been shooting break barrel rifles for many, many years. I have always held the rifle tightly, I could shoot a good 5 shot group and then the next group was terrible. So I took your advice, what a change! I always knew there was nothing wrong with the rifle but it was me not doing something correctly. I really appreciate your teaching friend, thank you.

beautiful rifle 😀👌 always enjoyed owning my BSA rifles... British built! My grandad used to take me to a farm in Lincolnshire where he would shoot his shotguns with his friend who owned the land, I'd sit in the bucket on the back of the tractor with a bsa meteor and a tin of pellets 😊 absolutely loved it... I guess he gave me my fondness of a good old BSA rifle 🫡

I have older BSAs but never managed to shoot well with a Lightning. By reputation, the CLX inherited the same characteristics of a snappy hard-recoiling action. It's a shame that BSA didn't push the design more. It needs a whole new piston, cylinder, scope rail and trigger mechanism to be the British air rifle everyone wants to buy.

Having a real good feeling about BSA. I'm from Canada.

Those Lightning CLX’s are awesome. Super accurate. I can easily get a group well under a 5p at 20m. The walnut stock looks gorgeous.

Stock bolts and silencer end cap kept rattling loose but sorted that with some washers and loctite.

i bought a BSA lightning clx today...looked at the walnut in .22 and a .177 in beech to be fair both looked really nice...i bought the beech .177 got home and sprayed some wood silk non silicone on it and wiped with a microfibre cloth and god it come to life (i kinda wanted walnut but prefer .177 cal so im glad the beech stock is lovely too)

Greetings from Argentina. You´re quite right. Only (and most important) secret when shooting a springer (or nitro piston) is how to hold the rifle. Meaning, let it do what it wants to do. That´s called "artillery hold". Regards.

Best tip is don't bother with BSA, unless it's a Bowkett tuned Superten.

Bought a spitfire when they came out and it ran 16lb ! Had the devil of a job to return it as the shop had sold me a FAC in effect ( Henry cranks) second gun works ok for a year then leaked and BSA (game) refused to fix it and suggested i try the designer!!!! Absolute shambles of a company

My tip for an Entry Level Springer shooter, is go for a 2nd Hand one that's been previously well looked after, don't worry too much about 2 or 3, dinks & bumps on the stock and still has a fair bit of compression in the spring. I still love and use my 45 odd year old .22 Webley Vulcan springer (Made in Birmingham - It's stamped that, on the Breach Block) & still shoots where I point it. I had a great, BSA Mercury and HW35 in the past. So then - Second Hand all the way for Me to begin with (One in good Nick) And, also - If you have "Limited Dexterity" ? or "Sausage Fingers" ? Go for a .22. The Pellets are less "Fiddly". Or buy a Pellet loading Pen if you Really want a 177. Hope this helps.

I tip the rifle forward to put the pellet in & straighten the barrel so the pellet doesn’t run the risk to fall out or get mashed if out a bit?

I think that is recommended to use a scope angel in Springer rifles, If you use a sight scope . Certainly, you'll damage your sight scope If you don't use It.

When I use my bag I put a couple plastic bags over it and that let's the rifle slide and do what it wants to do and use my other hand to squeeze the smaller bag in the rear of the rifle to adjust for elevation , it works for me. great video sir.

Thanks, helpful tips for a fairly new springer shooter , like me. Where would be best companies to look for BSA rifles and that will ship to US, do seem to be any companies in US that sell BSA rifles. Thanks for sharing.

If you're shooting springer air rifles whole your life and you told at the end of the previous CLX review that the CLX was the most accurate break barrel you've ever shot, than what for a crap air rifles you have been shooting whole your life?.....
