Fantastic news but just wanted to clarify (from my perspective), you were only being told to pay it because you said in your last video that you were going to not pay anything until the outcome of the complaint Lloyds solicitor had opened for you which you said was potentially 8 weeks away. We were all just worried for you that it could have been a trap from the solicitors to delay you paying beyond the 28 days the court gave.
As I’ve said before though, glad you’ve had the support of the community you’ve built and glad you get to keep your home :)
I went through a foreclosure about 20 years ago and then I learned how to buy a home completely and extremely cheap with cash. It changed my life. The banks are ruthless. Glad he got some breathing room.
You are welcome Allen it was me that started the conversation of the go fund me however I asked somebody else to start it up for you as I have a lot of personal issues of my own happening right now.
I am so glad this worked out for you after all the trouble it caused at one point.
Hope everything goes well for you in your future ❤
I don't think the vast majority of people saying "just pay it" (including me) were suggesting for a second you write a personal cheque, and not go through your solicitor and under their legal control. Of course this had to follow the correct legal route to make sure everything was done correctly. Regardless, I'm so glad it is finally coming to a close for you and you can get your life back on track.
That's great news Allen. However I don't think the people who were saying 'just pay it' (including me) weren't asking you to leave yourself vulnerable. We were asking you to satisfy the Court order to protect yourself, as at that point you were saying you might not pay it and instead rely on the Lloyds complaint process, which we (I) objectively thought was a very very bad idea. Good Luck to you and the family/cats for the future. :)
Allen To be fair to the people who were urging you to get the money paid ASAP, you were saying that you might wait to make a complaint to Lloyds based on the phone call you had with their solicitor regarding improper court procedure and what you described as blacklisting. People were simply saying to deal with the money first and fight after.
I seriously doubt anyone would suggest you just pay the money outside of the correct channels.
Mate, people were not shouting 'pay it now', they were saying pay it because you were talking about not paying it because they may have not followed procedure and there was mention of compensation etc, people were (rightly) discouraging you from not paying it, rather than paying it straight away.
Happy to see you're happy. This is the way the world and life should be. The fact that so many people were willing to contribute shows that you are loved & respected and very worthy indeed.
Very thankful I appreciate you Allen because I worked as you are on tellys for over forty years and I miss my job so your channel fills a void in my life, Thank God you will continue as a channel.
