If anyone can help us fall in love with America again, it'll be the road-tripping film photographers. Incredible video and otherworldly pictures.

"My apertures can't close down enough in my eyeballs" is the most photographer thing to say imaginable, prolly gonna steal that one.

There's something special about these Willem videos dropping right when I need them 🤤

Subaru, film photos… perfection!

Its like i need to like anyone on youtube that makes a video of the Canon eos 1n because so few people use it and make videos of it.

Dude I swear it was like my avengers endgame moment seeing you become friends with Aidan

You stopped in Tucson and you didn’t hit up the aircraft boneyard?! Missed opportunity!!

That schoolbus/ fire shot literally looks like a classic history-making shot from a photobook by one of the greats. Incredible stuff.

the details about flemish origins are always interesting. foto with schoolbus is outstanding! 😮

Willem be putting out some of his finest work before our eyes. Its a pleasure witnessing it sir 🫡

Always gotta stop and watch mid photos. feels chill

Your videos are gorgeous man. So genuine and well thought out. I love the mix of organization and raw moments in these videos. Every time I watch one of your videos, I feel inspired to take photos for myself again. I go to Croatia in a week and I get more and more exited to go with each video you post. Stoked for the next adventure you capture!

Just what I needed today

I love how you appreciate so many aspects of the United States, from your film school in NYC to the pink skies of LA and everything in between, even the remnants of our car culture, which really hasn't been what it was since the American Graffiti days. Way back when I started following you in 2020 you single handedly inspired me to take up photography again, to carry a small camera every time I went out, anywhere, just to capture the beauty and memories of all the crazy different places we call home. You're the OG and the best, Willem. So glad you're still enjoying doing this. (And hey, when can we buy all these books you've got in your head?!) Cheers!

Love that feeling when the algorithm randomly hands you an absolute DIAMOND of a video. Awesome vid and fantastic stills! The one with the lightning is my favorite, just how it stands there right between the street lamps, incredibly good composed photo!

6:51 is visual badassery at its finest!

Your videos are the reason why I picked up the camera again! Thank you, man!

I will NEVER skip a willem video

What a beautiful country. A road trip across the whole thing sure is the best way to fall in love with it all over again. Beautifully captured too. 🙌

jesus I'd drive 3000 miles just for that one afternoon in white sands.  Looking forward to this road trip series!
