9:49 "He's just guessing and checking" welcome to science, luddy❤

I am one of the taste testers the one in the red jacket, I think it got confused on the second reactions, the second mixture reaction was the ORIGINAL ORIGINAL coke recipe without the cocaine. that's why we all said this isn't coke, it almost tasted more like a perfume because of all the lavender. NOW for the remake of the current coke recipe it tasted almost EXACT, just not as sharp so it was closer to a diet coke in feel but tasted just like the original coke, the only tell was in the after taste it had a slight more orange after taste, still coke after taste, even with the trace amount of orange extract in the drink.

I heard bro's voice, and I knew bro was a chemist.

big beverage doesn't want you to know about this one...

I love how you can tell he's trying so hard to be a good reactor. In the back of his mind is the ghost of Jacksfilms

32:09 completely missed the sentence, he was saying the other recipes are obviously not coke, but his tastes much closer

15:14 The reason it's called cinnamaldehyde is because it's chemically an aldehyde, which is a specific chemical structure. This particular aldehyde just happens to be (in large part) responsible for the taste of cinnamon.

Also the reason water wasn't in the spectrum is because it's just a tiny slice of the whole picture. It just has interesting bits, the flavor compounds.

POV: Your moms a chemist, and you live in a ingredients only household.

now you make coke zero

As a scientist, I’m honestly surprised something like this hasn’t come out earlier. GCMS and LCMS has been out for awhile, and even when I was an undergrad we’d joke about using to to figure out what coke is lol

The definition of a beverage is a drink that isn’t water, so water can’t be the most popular beverage!

I appreciate dedicated, ambitious scientists that use their intelligence for silly

0:36 Pepsi likes the competition, that’s why. They need each other like joker and Batman

10:12 bro invented binary search

1:03 I swear his chat is so "erm achtually" its so unbearable 😭

3:17  I thought the vault was a gimmick, too, until I was taking a picture of my friend in front of it and he accidentally crossed the red line on the floor. The alarm sounded, lights flashing, and guards came running and we got in trouble. I guess that could've been all for show, too, but they wanted to remove us and followed us around the rest of the time. We literally thought it was just decor or a joke or something, idk. 😅

Can't wait to see this dude get into shenanigans with NileRed lmao

"Chat should we make coke"

1:04 I think the word you're looking for is persnickety
