I work in construction and the banter and interpersonal support on site is amazing. Definitely masc coded, but still there. And if anyone walks into the weight room and just 'gets on with it' and they've clearly got no idea, somebody, if not everybody will take an interest and get involved. The average gym bro is hilariously supportive, and in a worst case scenario? None of them wants the weight room closed for their workout because some rookie broke something because they had no idea.

Being a guy is hard, sure, but this story was performatively exaggerated.
