Correction - John Deacon played on Elton John’s album Ice on Fire, not Too Low For Zero that I put in the video.

Deaky's the best. Rock solid and consistent. I hope he and his family are well.

17 minutos para que sólo al final Taylor diga en 30 segundos que Deacon prefiere estar tranquilo en su casa.
Eso ya se sabe hace años.

Each member wrote a #1 hit song, pretty amazing

I think he made the right choice by getting out of the biz.  Seems to me with a group that has such a tight bond like Queen had, that if one person isn't in the project anymore, the project ceases to exist as it was.

the man wrote some great basslines

He's the quintessential bass player, musically and personality-wise, is the power of silence, the introvert that has a map of everything happening around him  in his head and quietly fills in the gaps and shortcomings found in it such as their financial challenges.  Being the bass in a trio is a lot harder and a lot more work than if you have a second guitar or keyboard, it becomes a very precise and detailed bass line work.  I applaud his wise and heartfelt choice to not continue without Freddie and have a second life as a family man.

John did it right. Made his mark and money and knew when to call it quits.

Trident's miserly contract is what led to the Deacy amp, not the way other amplifiers sounded. They couldn't afford anything else.

As a working musician, I know how exhausting it is. It tears your soul apart. You are married to your band mates and love them. But feel you have no identity or time for inner peace. John did the right thing for himself.

С состоянием 200 миллионов долларов  может позволить себе тихую и спокойную старость , и не быть посмешищем на сцене , как некоторые его коллеги

to get the answer to the video headline "Why John Deacon Refuses To Play With Queen Now" just watch the last 2 minutes.

Deacon penned a few of their best-selling songs, many are anthems in sports stadiums. It was cool to get to know more about him. Thanks

Thank you for this well done salute to John. Great bassist and guitarist, contributed some amazing tracks and sounds to the output by Queen. RIP Freddie, we are still enjoying the sounds and the videos, and all good wishes to John, whatever he does, bass legend.

Lovely man - maker of epic tunes.

I love Cool Cat.

Id like to retire too. But this economy...

The Sheffield Brothers who owned Trident, were widely referred to as 'barrow boys'.

leaving Queen was the right thing to do...theres  no queen without Freddie

It's a great shame, that John Deacon is no longer in contact, with Roger Taylor and Brian May, Queen were a brilliant rock band 😅
