the text color matching with your glasses is amazing

Best thing I ever did for my style was quit dressing for everyone else and start dressing for myself. I wear the craziest things sometimes, but I wear what makes me happy (and feel comfortable - I have sensory issues, so that can be a challenge. )

i'm so guilty of buying items i love but then don't necessarily know how to work with them in my wardrobe. but i'm thrifting so if i don't buy them, i'll never find them again!

I’m from bangladesh and when I was in school I would mostly wear western clothing (jeans n blouse/tshirt). But now that I am in the west, I realised I really rock desi clothes so much more. My inner child loves both the styles but I just feel like I’m an imposter when I am trying to make cool western outfits. Despite living in a society where it is the norm :((

She’s young, funny and very wise about fashion. STOP the chase of the trends, STOP cleaning out you closet continuously, fashion comes back over and over. STOP paying outrageous prices for pieces, thrift, better quality, and more often, depending on your style, you’ll find unique pieces. Be you, OWN your style, have fun with it, life is a gift, act like it. I’m 63 I started thrifting in my mid 20’s and still going strong today. I fell in to trend when I was younger, but always put my twist on just about everything I wore.
Live your life with no apologies ♥️

sometimes i outfit repeat for way longer than normal (while washing my clothes, of course, i dont wanna be gross) because even though i have so many awesome clothes, none of the outfits i make feel good enough. It feels like a never ending fashion competition between me, pinterest and people i see on the street. None of it matters, but somehow it does. I just have too many clothes and care too much about perfection. As long as I dont dress like someone im not, its fine.

layering, in the summer? y'all 😭😭 It has always been about silhouette & accessory for me cuz I live in a subtropical city

Your last point about being overly attached to one's image is so important!! Def need to remember to be open to contradictions :)

I used to be one to pick my outfits the night before. I'm going to start doing that again.

Relearn simplicity? ..those are the outfits that "is it an outfit or is she just skinny?" Are she's just skinny. Simple is easy if you are a size 4.

I get many compliments on my style. I realize it's because I dress 4 myself & feel amazing. I think people pick up on the positive vibes.
Fantastic tips! Your style views are refreshing!! 🌟

You also gotta buy the version of clothes that actually suit you. Like, I was hunting for rain boots and got influenced to buy the Hunter ones, but they were lowkey ugly. I almost bought them till I tried them on in-store, it didn’t look like they did on Bella Hadid at all. Realized they were just too tall for me. Then I found the Play Tall version, perfect height and it had a cute wedge (the OG heel was so meh). Glad I didn’t settle; I got the version that actually fit my wishlist.

the haircut thing is so real. i hadn’t had a haircut since january, and finally got one in september. it’s a breath of fresh air lemme tell you, it’s literally led me to do an overhaul on my style, since i realized i wasn’t dressing how i wanted to, just dressing however was easiest.

5:16 I was literally just thinking about this last week when I was editing my closet. Like literally who do I think I am with some of these pieces because I would not wear this in my small town

@nightwing6563 1 year ago

I hate not having the clothes that matches the style I want to go for, I have so many hand me downs, too many clothes that I can't fit any more, too many clothes I don't wear, nothing matches.
