derek rightfully getting flamed for being employed.

that “out of character: can I?” may be the hottest thing I’ve ever heard

i want to join a d&d campaign so bad but i'm scared that i'll play wrong and they'll beat me up

"Stay with me after sweet heart"

Oh uh sure.....
(Wait sweet heart.......

Sweetheart) °//~//°

Derek catching strays less than a minute in

As a tomboy dungeon master myself, it's nice to experience the other side of the interaction for once

i am the loneliest woman in the world for listening to this

but that's alright

"Why would you give all that to everyone but yourself?" I'M GONNA SOB STOP IT

I would rather commit sudoku than flirt with a DM/player, that is why all of my characters are minmaxed to be the most gameless people ever walking the earth

Ima be honest, I NEED a part 2 (or more, I’m not complaining at all and no pressure btw). Like I honestly wanna see how Liliana and my D&D character go on with the rest of the guys being really confused and such 😂😂

How did you reach into my gay mind and pull this out? >:3c

“Out of character, Can I?” Dear gods i blushed so hard

This has really got me thinking about that line between real and RP romance and my own experiences with it. Like obviously it’s incredibly important to keep some healthy distance, avoid too much bleed in with yourself and your own character’s feelings, and distinguish fiction from reality. And you can’t get presumptuous about other people because of their character. Hell, I’d run into a girl who thought we were dating IRL because our characters were without actually having any real conversations about it. And that freaked me the hello out. And the vast majority of the time I do romance RP, it’s completely platonic out of character. However, at the same time, multiple relationships I’ve gotten into were with RP partners. And a huge part of that is just group hobbies like that being a good way to meet people. And them being social games that are primarily a conversation means you can build up rapport or feel out if you have chemistry with people, and can bounce off them. But there’s also sometimes a deep truth within the artifice. It’s an environment where people can feel free to express themselves or even explore parts of themselves that they might be too scared of or find difficult to do otherwise. I’ve put my heart and soul into so many performances and unconsciously tried to work through my own issues through RP so many times before and see others do the same. It can be such an intensely vulnerable, intimate, and delicate experience, even without real or fake romance involved. And part of why I am so happy I got into roleplay as a hobby was that over the years it really had helped me form those strong emotional connections with folks, both platonic friends and romantic partners, even if shorting the fact from fiction can be messy.

But part of why I mention all this is because this audio got me right in the chest. That bleed over of their chemistry, working through real feelings and issues through characters, the DM seeing through everything, even the obliviousness of the listener… It all reminds me of when I met and fell in love with my fiance and some other partners of mine to a lesser extent. Even if it’s through weird niche hobby stuff, I feel seen in such a hyper specific way I never thought I would feel before.

Your audios are always an absolute delight, but this one resonated with me in a way I really appreciate. As always, thank you or you doing these.
