good morning Mr. Dough erty 😄

Kind of weird to see Dean applying butter without his trusty grease syringe.

You can’t beat the smell of fresh bread

Dean please please keep to tools!!! I'm now making bread for everybody, and my unit smells like a bakery😂 the best bread making machine on the block.

Hi dean
May have to get me one of those
It's a matter of loaf or death 😂

I had bread maker for years, I think you will not regret buying one. My primary motivation was to eat healtier bread without a bunch of additives and also to use healthier flour (ie from integral wheat which is not so industralized/modified). Nothing beats the taste of ready-made bread 😋
I have some cheap bread maker and usually use a prepared mixture of rye flour. I found that using vergin olive oil (ie 30 g for a pound of bread) with a spoon of honey and just a small teaspon of vinegar drastically extends duration of the bread. This way it will not spoil for 5 days or even longer.

I am going to make one right now😁

My brother (who is a Chef) received a breadmaker as a gift from my Mom. The first winter he lived in Idaho, he was inside a lot because of the snow, and baked a LOT of bread. Gained 15 lbs. that winter,  but got the cost of a loaf down to .54 cents a loaf😁😁😁

Watching you cut that bread, my brain was wishing I could smell it.

The taste of shop bread has changed. Most supermarket bread is not made with traditional ingredients any more! I will buy one of these now! Just the sound of cutting that loaf made my mouth water!

Can we admire the near perfect slices by hand? Still showing off new talents

Dean, the weak spot on these is the shaft through the baking form and in the bottom of the baker. Always put a spoon of cooing oil in the pot first on top of the shaft to lubricate it and seal the bushing against water, this also allows the beater to come off the shaft easily which can be a pain after a few uses. Below that in the machine itself there is also just a plain sintered bushing. This will soon go dry and stiff from the heat, I drilled a small hole in the shaft on mine with a cross hole so I can oil it with a syringe. If the bushing goes stiff it will shred the belt, so you can wait until that happens before drilling the hole. These are the only mechanical weak spots, the next thing to fail is the teflon coating on the beater and then the pot.
The next thing is that putting in the water and letting it sit overnight is not good for the taste. So I automated mine with a timer and solenoid valve to automatically take the correct amount of water from the tap and start the machine so it is ready when I wake up.

Dean breaks out the odd stuff. NOICE!

I was looking for a full review of this exact machine and apart from short videos from Panasonic Australia 🤷‍♀️ yours was the only one I could find so thank you for the full and comprehensive review.  Thanks to you I have decided to go ahead and buy one and look forward to some nice fresh, no additives, bread.  I might even experiment with some cocoa with the cake setting.

My wife uses her cuisinart bread maker regularly. She actually makes it for the dough setting and proofs it in the oven. Her rolls are the talk of the church!

Thanks! Your great videos have helped me so much... And they're great entertainment for a fellow whose worked in home improvement and often had to repair (or try to ) a broken tool.. here's to a pint or a coffee. Thanks

Good man yerself, Dean 👍👍👍

Nice one Dean, I've been hand kneading for 6 months. You've changed my mind. Class.

Making your own bread is better. I've been making my own bread now for 6 months by hand. Very interesting review.

thanks for showing this went out and bought one after watching did not know panasonic did a small unit, very pleased with the first results!

You're typically quite motivated in the shop, you deserve to loaf around a bit.  Nice one.
