FRANK: "Sir, I think the Chinese have captured Major Houlihan"   COL. POTTER: "I see, so naturally you shot Captain Hunnicutt"

Colonel Potter puts Flagg in his place:
I was in this man's army when the only thumb you cared about was the one in your mouth!

I remember being devastated when Radar entered the ER to announce Henry Blake's plane crash. But looking back at all these years later I am not sure the show would have run as long as it did if McLean Stevenson hadn't made the choice to leave. Henry Morgan as Col Potter brought so much more to the show than the character of Blake ever could.

RIP Harry Morgan. You are remembered everyday where MASH is rewatched. Great actor and role. ❤

I loved col. Blake, but col. potter was a whole new level. He could put the right tone of voice for anything, including “bull cookies”😅

Harry Morgan what a gem of a human being

"because my bird is more powerful than your bird" genius XD and that pentagon double joke is just perfection XD

At 0:12, Potter falls down drunk, is picked up, asks if he fell, & when told no, says, "I didn't think so." & wobbles off.  At the 30th Anniversary reunion , Harry said that not long after that episode aired, he was visiting a friend at the Hollywood Actors Home, and he'd talked with Mary Astor, the Oscar-winning starlet who'd also been in The Maltese Falcon.  She said they'd watched that episode at the Home, & she told him when she saw him do that bit, "I laughed so hard, I peed in my pants.".😄

I LOVED Col. Potter!  Harry Morgan was brilliant in that role!  ❤❤❤❤❤

They left out 'pigeon pellets!'

I love that Potter managed to trick Radar into what he was thinking

Kindness don't feed the bulldog is my favorite. I use it once in a while and had completely forgotten that it was a Colonel Potter classic.

1:35 - "That'll rip the tarpaper off the roof". My favorite Colonel Potter line. 😂😂😂😂😂

He knows a good joke when he sees one

I was obsessed with MASH in the 80s. I never knew my grandfathers, and Colonel Potter was my ideal grandad in my child's mind. Yes, really.

"My bird is more powerful than your bird" was a great bit, I'd totally forgotten about that one.😂

I cannot believe how many of these lines I remember ...

What a collection! Absolutely wonderful! Thank you!

Remember  being  in the day room  watching  mash with  other  G I s in the 80s, best  show   tv

My favorite episode was when Harry Morgan played Gen, Steel.
