Because Scout and Love's relationship has repeatedly been presented as brother and sister.

Scout himself has called her his sister.

But now he's essentially saying:

Before somebody becomes your sister…

they're your FRIEND.

Then he admits that watching Gullu flirt with Love makes him feel possessive.

Relationships become VERY intense, VERY quickly.

There is no phone.
No normal life.
No escaping somebody for a few days.

You're living with the same people 24 HOURS A DAY.

So friendships can become attachment.

Attachment can become possessiveness.

And possessiveness can very quickly become…

SOMETHING ELSE.

But that doesn't mean we simply forget the relationships waiting outside.

And then there's YUNG.

Because Yung basically admits that HE never actually considered Love his sister either.
