Has any team ever been as happy as Match Team AK at winning a National Championships?
Lining up along the banks of the River Great Ouse and Middle Level Drain, there were 23 teams all vying for victory and secure promotion to Division 1 - but only one could win it.
Match Team AK - fishing their first National - did it in style with an impressive 64 section points from their 10 anglers, and also secured the individual title thanks to Mark Campion's 8kg-plus net of silverfish. It was a well deserved double for the Norfolk lads on what was a tough pair of venues.
The biggest cheer of the day went to 13-year-old Dylan Egan who enjoyed a bumper day on the bank to finish in second overall with 7k 150g - the youngest ever angler to frame in a divisional National.

Sad point though only 27 teams. Sad really i remember 4 divisions. I am trying to get our lads to do it next year.
