September's live class explores one of the lesser known paths of yoga - Nada Yoga. Nada Brahman: the world is sound.
This is one of the oldest philosophical teachings in human history, and the foundation of one of yoga's most profound and least understood paths: Nada Yoga, the yoga of sound and vibration.
In the Nada Yoga tradition, we move from outer sound, the sounds we hear with our ears, toward inner sound: the vibrational hum of existence that can only be perceived in deep stillness. In this way, the sound bath becomes a practice of listening so deeply that the boundary between the listener and the sound begins to dissolve.
This practice opens with Brahmamudra Nada, an ancient and powerful meditation practice working with the seed sounds of Om, movement and breath. This is followed by a live alchemy crystal bowl sound bath and gentle gong.
