I've never seen a company display so much loathing for its own customers

So no more updates from Microsoft? That may well turn out to be a blessing in disguise considering the damage previous updates have done to users devices.

Microslop find every new way to push people to linux

Yeah Microsoft. The world's just clamouring for you to 'update' the worst platform of the century so far.

"Lose Updare" sound like a good thing after the latest updates.

Still running Win2kPro (not connected to any network) with no issues after 23yrs (when I built the thing in the first place!). Does all of my media burning tasks, documentation work etc.

I feel so good with all these problems Micro$oft has done, because I run Linux to 100% in my home.

Just a few months ago, the computers at my workplace were about 10 years old and running Windows 7. There were no issues—even without Microsoft's much-hyped updates. 😉
With this policy, Microsoft will drive its users toward Linux or macOS. I’ve already installed two Linux distributions, and it’s fun.

The problematic aspect of this is Microsoft's insistence on pushing Windows 10 users into buying new PCs and putting numerous healthy PCs that could reasonably run Windows 11 into landfill. They are quite happy to disregard the environment if it helps their profits. I don't see the 24H2 issue as a big problem as it is officially out of support on 13 October, though I was cheesed off by Microsoft trying to force-feed me 25H2, ignoring my group policy settings, several months before 24H2 support ended.

I'm waiting for Microslop to crack down on people using local accounts on computers that were set up without a Microslop account. That will be the day I go full Linux on all my computers never to look back.

If Microsoft EVER, EVER even utters the word "sustainability" or anything remotely close to "we must all do our part for the climate" I'm gonna SCREAM with all of the unnecessary E WASTE they are creating

Aww yeah, service pack installations are back on the menu boys

I just did a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro 26H2. So far, all good. (Side note, obviously I debloat and modify my OS, I don't use the atrocious vanilla one).

I tried to go full-time on Linux, but it still lacks a lot of needed apps I have on my daily workflow! So back to 11 I go!
