This old rusty sword had been untouched for years and was covered in corrosion.

In this restoration, I removed the rust using electrolysis, carefully cleaned the blade and restored it while trying to preserve as much of the original surface and blade pattern as possible.

I intentionally avoided aggressive sanding and mirror polishing because I didn’t want to remove the character and original details of the blade.
