Those were the good times, when we had originality, uniqueness character, and quality back then.

Fantastic upload. Thank you so much. I am 72 and Pick of the Pops was an essential part of my youth. Great to listen to this again, good old 'Fluff'!

I remember it well, Alan Freeman's Pick of the Pops, blasting out from my valve Cossor radio every Sunday. Absolute magic!

The quality of the tape is excellent considering it's 55 years old! Have great memories of listening to pick of the pops at my Aunt's house on her Ekco radio!

I keep coming back to this one! The Top 20 featured several masterpieces in my view. 'Venus' did at least reach its deserved No.1 in the USA. The steady climb of the exquisite 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' meets the gentle descent of the lovely 'Leaving On A Jet Plane' as Alan's reverent tones guide us onward and upward to the new stellar No.1.

I was an avid fan of the inimitable Alan Freeman, and It's fantastic to hear him once again on this almost complete Pick Of The Pops. I loved the engaging way in which he linked the records and counted down the Top 30.
