Recovery won Best Rap Album at the 2011 Grammys

The song with the lyrics "baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more" is "What Is Love" by Haddaway, which is famously associated with the movie/sketch "A Night at the Roxbury" so funny!

3:43 "I dont go around fire, expecting not to sweat" is dope when Em is on fire behind him

Em is different BARS CADENCE

Em is the Snare on this track

The saturday night live performance was gooood.

When Eminem went to get sober and returned to rap he said he was jealous he said he was trying to find himself again and he got jealous at every rapper who was successful while he was doing it so he started taking shots at everybody but he admits in a song before him and Wayne did Drop the World and this song No Love that he took shots at everybody including Wayne and not cause he had a beef with Wayne he was just jealous he thought he didn’t have it anymore once he got sober but then he found himself and well the rest is history

The sample is Haddaway - What is love

In case you’re wondering where the phrase “Bogarted the game” came from
1. Evan "Kidd" Bogart (The Discovery)It is a famous, often-overlooked piece of hip-hop history that Evan "Kidd" Bogart (son of Casablanca Records founder Neil Bogart) was the Interscope Records A&R representative who discovered Eminem. Bogart watched Eminem compete at the 1997 Rap Olympics, was blown away by his lyricism, and secured his demo. Bogart initially struggled to get label executives to pay attention, but he eventually succeeded in getting the demo to Jimmy Iovine. This ultimately led to Eminem meeting Dr. Dre.

The original sample was taken from 'What Is Love' by Haddaway. It's an early 90s European techno track. It's become a comedy/satire song ever since SNL made it into a parody with 'Night at the Roxbury'

I’ll add one more thing to this i already made a few comments Lil Wayne did a podcast idk if he still has it but he had Eminem on his podcast and listening to them talk about each other and how they rap they found out they are so much alike it was the greatest podcast I ever watched two of the greatest rappers of all times talking about the rap game and how they rap it was great

Wayne and em killed this

This is a perfect song, a masterpiece. Glad you recognized the genius sampling of Haddaway and the fire beat production too, which not many do!

It's on recovery, you heard it on that listen...but second listen always just as good.

Man I’m born and raised in New Orleans Louisiana our birthdays or exactly 2 months apart Lil Wayne is the GOAT but Eminem is the GOAT as well, Eminem took the crown back in this song

The kid at the start of the video getting bullied is the same dude in the venom music video. He's all grown up now 🔥🔥

This is one of my favorites. Every verse top tier. Both of these guys brought their A game and its awesome.

Em was in some deep deep pocket on that verse Wayne was out of this world 🗺️

One of the most slept on collaborations!! 🔥🔥🙌🫡

"i almost missed that" - can't believe you missed it but that's hilarious
