You don’t owe nobody an explanation. Keep collecting and keep doing what you love.

I am sorry you feel the need to have to explain your situation to us. Also, if you like the way your collection looks that is all that matters. People pick the weirdest things to criticize.

I find it interesting how the Internet needs to know everyone's income, yeah I was curious about your collection and all the room too. I've also been curious how travel influencers can afford to travel, while still having a house. Spend your money how you want to spend it, as long as it's not illegal, we shouldn't be asking each others income, but we're all guilty of doing it.

Kids, don't have kids when you're super young and you too can have cool collectibles

That's something I've noticed about people. When it comes to anime figure collecting, they assume everyone buys everything up front instead of,  Collecting gradually, Honestly a couple years ago it was very easy to buy anime figures very cheap. It's only recently that it's become more difficult thanks to things like the economy and tariffs.

I'll say it,  I'm jealous.  Beautiful collection.

I think a lot of people see peoples collections and think they got all of it in the last few months,
Instead of years

Completely with you on the Lego star wars stuff used to love watching legoboy12345678 or soldierbrick studios as he goes by now used to love his Lego clone armys

I think people forget that everyone loves to collect something whether it be anime, games, vinal, action figures etc.. everyone needs their own hobby.

I feared this was going to happen. “Over-consuming” has become such a buzzword and the people who are severely lacking in critical thinking skills are now jumping on any collection comparing it to the people who hoard make-up with an expectation date.

At least you're happy dude,  that's all that counts! :)

I am 33 single dude and I spend my money how I want after I necessities, bills, etc. I spend it on pretty plastic while my friends spend it on daycare. But on a real note, I didn’t know how expensive daycare is! My friends pay close to $1000/month for daycare for 1 kid?! That’s crazy!!!

It's your money to spend how you want to spend it. End of story.

My physical collection makes me happy. Seeing my figures, manga/books, video games, movies and anime on my shelves makes me happy. I work hard for my money and I'm going to enjoy that money after my bills and such are paid.

i’m so sorry you’re having to deal with rude people. the entire point of collecting is to do what makes YOU happy! i love watching collection videos because its interesting to see different ways to collect and display, but at the end of the day it’s your life, your money, and you collection. the consumer machine is here in full swing regardless of whether or not you collect- and for many people collecting is one of the few things that brings joy in the mundane world of working for the corporate overlords. you do you and your response was kind and reasonable too

I think it comes across fairly clear you are just proud of your collection and enjoy sharing it, which is not the same thing as bragging for attention.

There was NO need to explain this, I'm shocked at negative reactions like that. I commented on your room tour because I was impressed, I don't feel less than just for owning less. It's perfectly fine to spend money/time/space however you please and how you enjoy to. I personally am just extremely picky with my figures because I also have the expensive hobby of being into jfashion, from month to month I decide what I'd prefer more!

Don't worry about those haters . I wish I had a collection of anime / old vintage gaming  but I get what I can as far as Pokemon cards these days. You got a new subscriber . God bless you.

Don't bother with the people complaining. Thank you for sharing your collection with us, I truely enjoy seeing someone like you passionated in anime collection and willing to share the experience! Just know that there are always supporters. Keep up!

There's a scene in Chainsmoker Cat where a lady who lives in a tent by the river lectures someone about being too attached to their possessions. Sees her tent washed away by a storm on TV and rushes out screaming about her tent and her bed...

I prefer to display all my scales together grouped by theme/series/vibe and using risers to maximise space and height.  I keep my nendos etc separately but I love looking at other people's collection who do things differently! I especially love how people do little shrines for each series, with acrylic standees, scales, everything! They're just not for me. Collect how and what you love  :-)

I will say this proudly if you are working. And you put in a time and put in an effort, you can pamper yourself. You can buy stuff you want. You see it, you work for it. You earned it. I'm a proud anime collector and I'm gonna say it. I might not make a lot of money but I enjoy it. And if I'm working for it I'm buying it
So my friend if you're working you have a right to buy it
