After reading thousands of comments from people who live in Russia, have left Russia, or simply speak Russian, I've formed a picture of Russia that's completely different from the Russia I know.

In this video, I'll explain why many people are comfortable speaking only negatively about Russia. Why they don't want to hear anything good about Russia or anything negative about life abroad.

We'll try to understand the psychology of people who, in the comments under various posts, exclusively portray Russia in its worst light.

I don't want to criticize people for talking about their country's problems. And I don't mean to say that criticizing Russia is bad. Criticism is necessary.

This is primarily about a different psychological mechanism. When it's easier for a person to absolve themselves of responsibility and 100% blame someone else.

For me, as an outsider, Russia is a wonderful country. But, of course, it has many problems.

That's why I try to look at the situation objectively. Not making Russia better than it is, but also not making it worse than it is.
