David Fincher directs the adaptation of Gillian Flynn's best selling thriller starring Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, and Neil Patrick Harris! Flynn wrote the script herself so the book and movie are very similar, but there are still some significant changes that are worth talking about.

And by the end, this is what she wants Nick to be. She wants him to tell her what she wants to hear, she wants him to bend to her wishes. But even though Nick is pretending, there is still something in it for him and so being "cool guy" does have it's advantages and as said, he knows he won't be able to be happy with a normal woman, and a normal healthy relationship. Nick still has his self of self in the end and they still challenge each other in way they both find stimulating to some extent, but yeah.
Again, this was something I kept coming to mind but when I tried to explore it, I had a hard time grasping what it was I wanted to say. This basically sums it up though in the best way I can say for now.
What do you think?? Is there something to this interpretation??
