In one of the most explosive international windows Republic of Ireland football has ever seen, host Luke Delaney sits down with Darren Randolph and Alan Judge to unpack every major talking point on and off the pitch.
We analyse the stark contrast between Ireland’s disappointing defeat to Kosovo and their subsequent victory over Israel, looking at what went wrong tactically and how the team managed to bounce back under immense pressure.
More importantly, the panel addresses the elephant in the room: the widespread public fallout surrounding the FAI's decision to agree to play the Israel fixture. Randolph and Judge offer an insider’s perspective on the ethical and psychological toll placed on the players, discussing Gavin Bazunu’s decision to pull out of the squad and why modern footballers are increasingly thrust into impossible positions by governing bodies.
In this episode:
Analysis of the defeat against Kosovo & performance against Israel
FAI & UEFA fallout over the decision to fulfill the Israel fixture
Gavin Bazunu pulling out of the squad & player welfare under pressure
