I’m from Romania, and at my workplace I have colleagues from Sri Lanka. At least one of them I work with closely on a daily basis, so we interact and collaborate regularly. I’ve come to see that they are very hardworking, reliable, and fair in the way they do their job.

Previously, I also had another colleague from Sri Lanka. Before he left, he told me that I’m a really good and easygoing person, and that he truly enjoyed working with me. That meant a lot to me, especially since we had built a good working relationship over time.

I had no idea that Sri Lanka was so developed. Definitely not like India at all. People seem authentic and not trying to scam you every turn you take. Thanks for this video

Compared to New Delhi, it looks like another world. In New Delhi, India, they want to scam you everywhere you go. It is loud, filthy and smells horrible. Colombo actually looks very nice, people seem welcoming without being pushy. Even a very busy market was relatively clean, with a few pieces of trash here and there, which is normal in such a busy place. I am positively surprised by how modern and well-organised it looks.

I spent a week in Colombo, Sri Lanka, with my brother in 2013, but it seems to have improved a lot now. Greetings from Iran.

Hello from Finland 🇫🇮🙋🏻‍♂️ to Sri Lanka
I like go there visit

The Sri Lankan people are so warm and hospitable. Smiles everywhere.😊 I prefer the country's beautiful countryside and coastline to its capital but it's still interesting to see how it is developing. The tea terraces are wonderful too. Great video about a lovely country. 🇱🇰 ❤

Definitely worth visiting.

Srilankan isn't dirty as other country.  It's clean and tidy. Obviously good and bad places in the city is common even in America.

Yes Sri Lanka and its people, they deserve prosperity and happy life, they are very warm, hospitable, loving people on earth, they are really resilient as you mentioned. They have gone through many more challenges so many decades, but they ready to rise up again with a friendly and warm smile. ✨🙏♥️🇱🇰

I have just returned from  my (first ever) Sri Lanka trip and I completely fell in love with this country. It is so different than any other couuntry. People say it´s "India light", but I couldn´t really compare it to India either. Great Viedo, so thoughtful and respectful

Have been 3 times to Sri Lanka, love this island! Enjoy it, Gabi!

Traveller's there 4 times Gabi. It's beautiful

Sri Lanka is a really wonderful country with some of the nicest people in the world ... I hope you get a chance to get out of the city and check out the country side

Kindest people on earth ❤

Love Sri Lanka, such friendly people, nice food and great unspoilt beaches, I am back in July 🐆🏖

Excellent video! You are absolutely right about the resilience of Sri Lankans. After the devastating impact of Cyclone Ditwah in late 2025—which caused a $4 billion economic loss and took 600 lives—it’s heartwarming to see you experience the genuine smiles of our people despite such hardships. Wishing you all the best in your journey!

The most interesting cities are often the ones people describe completely differently - because you have to feel them for yourself.

We were caught up in the isis ❤ attack in 2018 . We managed to get to safety . The main thing that will stay with me until my dying days is the humble kindness and respect from the Sri Lankans. They were apologetic that we were experiencing this disaster but we were so very worried for them . We could eventually leave when planes were available, they couldn’t . I will always love these beautiful souls 🙏💙💝

This is going to be amazing.  Only been to Sri Lanka once but would love to go back.  The adventure awaits ❤

Gabi this is going to be absolutely amazing and I’m loving this Sri Lanka trip already. Omg so much fun to be able to actually drive a Tuk Tuk 🛺 yourself, they are fun enough as a passenger but to be able to rent one is next level.
The dinner you had looked to me like Appam which is common in sth India so that would make sense it’s in Sri Lanka.
Gabi it must be said that your kindness empathy towards others just comes through in all your videos and makes you a favourite blogger for me. Your gentle approach completely resonates with me and makes every video a pleasure to watch 🙏 I was not expecting more videos as thought you were having a break but absolutely delighted your back travelling again for us.  Thanks
