You can't fix stupid. And boy was Blake stupid. Alex is the quiet guy in the family. Alex listened an learned. By the time he was 25 he was making six figures. Blake his brother in law was a showboat and that was all. Blake told a tale. Alex sat back and watched the show.

Why are the parents of these OPs never proud of their lesser seen kids that brings home straight A's and competition trophies but gobbles up peripheral ideas and lack of talent from the other golden ones who never achieved anything? The family was quite ok with selling their family property and he's an inlawn not a blood relative? Blake is nothing more than a wannabe business man who's a con artist. Wait, the family knows u own the property but conveniently forgot and thought that someone should do something about said property, instead of asking u about it. This guy hired someone to fix up the house that don't need updating and ghosting him and not paying him. So who exactly will be finishing said updating when he's not paying anyone? This guy needs prison time. He just stood there lying through his teeth straight to their faces including his own wife. If he was prepping to take out a loan in your name against your house simply means, that he knew u owned the house and still stood up at the party, talking about what he's going to do with it and was actually changing it before he said anything at the party. Why didn't the Judge award u compensation for what he started and will cost u now? When he mentioned it to his wife, he acknowledged that he knew it was yours. I doubt he'd ever been to the house. Who was supposed to get the money for the sale if he managed to do it? The family, u, him or u and he'd get a fat payout for getting the job done? Good story but I can't but feel that Blake got off too lightly.
