In a lot of ways, Todd Chavez feels like the “forgotten” BoJack Horseman character. He’s a huge part of every season, but admittedly his plot lines often end up more as comic relief than the typical drama laden stories we see from some of our other characters. Though, not always. And I don’t think this is a bad thing, either. Out of all characters in the show, Todd has BY FAR the most diverse and fascinating resume, and has gotten himself into the most ridiculous shenanigans. I can barely even count the different career paths he’s somehow taken, which is actually why this might be the MOST fun BoJack timeline we cover, so join me as we explore the complete timeline of Todd Chavez.

Todd IS the sitcom character that Bojack THINKS he is. He falls into situations so abstract but people like him and easily forgive whatever short falls he has.

Todd is so much smarter than people realize, when he realized that Bojack was a horrible friend and had slipped up too many times, he set a boundary between himself and Bojack and was able to achieve so much more success once he didn’t have Bojack there holding him back. He was aware when him and Yolanda didn’t actually have anything in common and then acted accordingly and appropriately. Even though he was used as comic relief most of the time, he showed us how important setting boundaries and taking care of yourself can be.

I'm weirdly pissed at Emily for constantly pressuring Todd into sex despite his constant reluctance and then didn't take responsibility for sleeping with Bojack.

as much as i love todd's quick quirky stories, i wish they would have started giving him more depth and developing his relationship with his family earlier on in the series

Todd was such an important character in Bojack's life and one of the best things about him was the asexual representation he gave us! I love him.

25:53 I always found it sad that Bojack remembers some ultimately pretty minor ways he hurt people, but Todd had to write down all the most terrible things Bojack did to him himself.

Words can’t describe how much Todd coming out as asexual meant to me. For the longest time I felt like an outsider for not feeling sexual attraction, but hearing that there are other people like me kinda changed my whole world. Todd is the best!

I still really appreciate the writers having Todd be asexual.I may have ugly cried the first time it's ever brought up at the end of season 3. Then again when he goes to an Asexual Meetup.

Bojack, the worst person in the entire BH universe, was so cool/ accepting about Todd being Asexual. He didn't humiliate or make fun of him for it, he continued to treat him like a normal person. If an asshole fictional character can be like this, then a-phobes have no excuse.

Todd's it's you speech to Bojack is still one of the saddest moments ever and definitely the saddest F bomb of the show cuz it's not even out of anger but more out of sadness and disappointment.

As someone who is asexual and had a hard time realizing my sexuality, it’s very refreshing to see main stream media finally have a character for us to relate to. Todd will always be my favorite Bojack character.

considering Aaron Paul voices Todd I always saw Bojack and Todd's relationship in a similar light to Walt and Jesse.

How many times has Todd has his life ruined even by Bojack himself? Poor guy, but it’s also kind of his own fault sometimes, he’s like Bojack except he ruins his own life except of his own and other people’s life.
