The nice thing about Aitbaar is that we all know what is happening, yet Mukul Anand keeps the proceedings gripping and has you hooked. Based loosely on Dial M for Murder the famous Hitchcock suspense film, Aitbaar ticks the boxes in all respects. Raj Babbar's character covers up his devious intent with his typical expressions of hurt innocence. He revels in the spineless anti-hero's role and steals the thunder. Dimple Kapadia is very likeable as the wife who is being framed for murder after an attempt to murder her failed. Danny Denzongpa entertains as the cop, a total departure from his prior roles. Suresh Oberoi is effective. Bhappi Lahiri provides a pleasant musical score of which Kisi nazar ko tera is the standout song. Very watchable film
