Yay! So excited to watch the video I just saw your story on Instagram ☺️❤️

After a long day, there's nothing more comforting than seeing your face. And taking a virtual tour of Osaka with you, a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.❤

Osaka-lover here, I spent a full 2 weeks there and have already planned out another 1 week there, so I can give my personal opinion. I super agree with the location you chose! Anywhere in Namba South of the crowds of Dotonbori is great, super walkable and full of life without being crazy. And near Kuromon Market area is the best, I had a budget hotel by the entrance and I was thrilled to grab at least one snack from there every day. I actually super recommend making Namba a base for day trips in Kansai area.

Why? Osaka station is quite accessible (perfect for trips to Kobe/Himeji/Hiroshima) and the Nara line even passes through Namba directly. Then you can come home to your hotel and nightlife / endless good food conveniently close by, perfect for tired legs and as a contrast to the smaller towns. Hotels also tend to be significantly cheaper compared to Kyoto or Tokyo's prime tourist locations, which means it makes a lot of sense as a main base. Fun Fact : The bamboo forest in Kyoto is actually almost the same travel time from Namba as it is from Higashiyama Kyoto, so you could easily go there from Osaka instead if that's where you plan on being in Kyoto.

PS: FYI some shops in the market close on Sundays (and less often, Wednesdays) which must be the day you first visited.
