In Africa, any leader who genuinely prioritizes the well-being of their people is often quickly labeled a ‘dictator.’ It’s as the term was invented specifically for African leaders. And once the West applies that label, we tend to adopt it ourselves without question.

I live in Oklahoma USA a local black woman I don't know, as we talked at WalMart was telling me about Traore in Burkina Faso and she had much hope that he could fulfill the mission he has set out for himself and the nation. I had read and watched Youtube videos on this subject but didn't realize how far the message has reached. People are paying attention in a way I've never seen before. I'm from the west coast, have always interested myself in politics and world events but here in Oklahoma.
