"I turned 19 at this location... I'm Thirty now."
"Jesus". Yeah time sure does fly. Director reaction. Was valid.😂

the fact that elijah aged 11 years and only looked maybe two or three years older is insane to me

I absolutely love how Peter understands the struggles of every individual actor. He picks a unique approach for every single one, and the result speaks for itself. Never have I ever been amazed by any film as much as I was amazed by the Hobbit trilogy (apart from LOTR obviously)

While the studio decisions hurt the hobbit films terribly, I was always very fond of them, its clear Peter put as much dedication and love into it as he did with LOTR- as did everyone else involved. Plus The Company of Dwarves was incredible both as characters and as actors.

Back in the 2010s I didn't really like the hobbit trilogy compared to LOTR triogy... but 10+ years later, after rewatching the 3 films I see what I couldn't see back then; I love this trilogy now. Thanks for the video!!

16:32 Galadriel wearing Crocs is not something I was expecting to see today, along with seeing this video in my home page

The Hobbit Trilogy is magnificent in its own right. And gave us new iconic figures I would never want to be without - Martin Freeman’s Bilbo & Lee Pace’s Thranduil at the top.

Listen the hobbit films may have had their flaws but I still find them so fun and comforting to watch <3

I wish Peter Jackson is the one directed the odyssey he’ll stay true to every single character that movie needs.

Its awesome to finally see appreciation from other fans after being insanely obsessed with these movies since I was a little kid lol ❤ love these films so much

He was 19 when he became Frodo. Then he was 30 when he returned... today, he is stepping into Frodo's hairy feet once more, at 45! It brings tears to my eyes trying to understand where the time has gone. Seems like yesterday, the rush of excitement we got running for the best seats, then settling in for our adventures into Middle Earth with our friends & family. ❤

I loved the hobbit from the beginning despite what other felt about it.

When the films first came out in theater, I didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted. But returning to it a few years later, I appreciated it more and more each time I rewatched them. There's a line that Gandalf says, "all good stories deserve embellishment" (I'm trying to remember at the top of my head here) and I think that's very important when watching the films. The creativity, the love for the story itself, and the designs of Dwarven life had so much care put into them. When you cast away the negative nitpicking and focus on the story as a fun fantasy adventure, you'll enjoy each rewatch you have! Thanks so much for posting these behind the scenes memories, I love seeing how much went into the films!

I love watching the behind the scenes on my DVDs as much as the movies. It's just so amazing to see what went into these films.

@DobroSC2 6 months ago

Such attention to detail was paramount. That's precisely why these cinematic masterpieces were created.

Honestly this helps me appreciate the Hobbit films, even if they're not as good as the original trilogy. The bit about Gandalf appreciation, using CGI in place of practical effects for health reasons, etc

love the ‘moving with tea’ and Orlando Bloom’s mum

I’ve no idea where you’re able to find all of these outtakes but they are brilliant and I just love watching them. Thank you.

* Le sigh *

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The hobbit movies are incredible and you can tell how much care was put into them by Peter Jackson.

Note that I am NOT saying the hobbit movies are objectively good. I’m simply stating my opinion
