Congratulations Pecan!

When a game that heals depression asks you to get some therapy, you're screwed.

Trolling the villiagers didn't used to be so guilt-inducing. In the Gamecube game and Wild World, their reactions were hilarious! In New Leaf and New Horizons, you can't pick on them without getting the feeling you've done something bad. The Cranky villiagers in the former games are actually ANGRY when you hit them with the net.
'Sheesh, what kind of trash are you going to bother me with now, beefcake?! Hey, here's a crazy idea... How about you LEAVE ME ALONE, squinky!'
'Ugh! Get away from me, chipmunk! You're a real jerk! I don't want people thinking we're together!'
Damn it, I'm actually on the floor for this. The town tune being played badly over the top of the animalese that sounds like a broken tuner is the icing on the cake.
In terms of the bigger things, the newer games have the upper hand. But where the small things are concerned, they and the older games are New Horizons apart.
