my favorite thing about watching playthroughs of this for over a decade is that, without fail, people will recite the answers to themselves in a fog during the walkback

I think we absolutely need more of Dan experiencing classic flash games for the first time.

The craziest part about this quiz is because of how old it is now, the internet inside-jokes are so context based in that time period for some of them that this quiz only gets HARDER with time.

"Why would you think his hat was orange?" absolutely destroyed me

Good thing Dan recently learned that shallots are NOT mushrooms

...I never fuckin realized "Chews food" was the punchline. My siblings just thought it looked like cheese 😂

1:20 Dan: "Slap-Me Do!"
Me, being familiar with the game: "Well that's going to come back to bite him in the ass later now isn't it"

This game makes a LOT more sense if you realize that the author isn't just some psycho, they are merely British

Oh man, this takes me back to my teenage years. It's crazy how many of these I still remember... talk about useless information :_GrumpsLULZ:

I like the mix of logic, trick questions, and weird jokes/memes that are decades old by now.

dude this is SO satisfying to watch as someone who played the shit out of this game as a kid, i can't believe how many of the answers i still remember!
also i had a moment of "aw man, it's not the same without the original music" before i realised it's all copyrighted xD for anyone watching, please imagine the rocky theme for the full experience.

I haven't touched this game since middle school and somehow I still have all the answers memorized until about halfway through.

Clutching my monitor screaming "YOU KILL A WEREWOLF WITH SHOEPOLISH" like that makes any damn sense bc i remember these answers way too well

Arin: I'm gonna let you take the reigns on this one because I kinda know it already
Also Arin, with zero prompting: the answer is teeth

I have vivid memories of Dan and Phil playing this for HOURS and getting endlessly frustrated. Happy to see the Grumps getting a taste of this experience lol

giggling at them thinking 'cillit bang' is a silver bullet. For those who arent british, cillit bang is a very famous kind of cleaner (they make degreaser and anti limescale and stuff). It was a big meme in the UK in the early 2000's because the ads were a very over-the-top dude yelling about it and then it would end with 'BANG! And the dirt is gone!'

It was a referrence a lot of kids and teens would quote at the time, and in a popular kids show horrible histories there was a parody called 'HI! IM A SHOUTY MAN!'

what a throwback dude

We played this all the time when I was a kid - never came close. Also the skips can't be used at all, they're needed at the end of the game to win

#43 is a reference to two ancient memes, "Bridget makes everyone gay" and "Tom Cruise is gay". I regret spending as much time on 4chan as I did when I was a teenager.

Dan's speed of typing horse reveals that we all know which question of the final few would destroy him lol

I’m totally on board with them revisiting all the classic Flash games, like Fancy Pants, Papa’s Pizzeria, Shift, the list goes on
