We NEED to Talk About Demonology Warlocks in WoW Forever

Demonology Warlock surprised the hell out of me at Level 30 in the WoW Forever beta. After spending more time testing the spec in leveling and higher level dungeon content, my opinion on Demo has changed quite a bit.

In this video, I break down why Demonology is performing better than I expected, how the demons and new talents are working together, what the spec actually feels like at Level 30, and where I think it stands compared to Affliction and Destruction.

As soon as I read that demonic brand is effectively a taunt for any pet, I immediately thought about the tainted blood skill on the doggo and how hard that will go even for leveling and questing.

Typically in a PVP zone I always had the succubus out, but with this type of change I would be fully comfortable with the hound

As soon as they released the build trees this is the build I was the most excited about with the succubus shadow dmg and sac buff changes.

In SoD I used the felhunter as my questing pet. Macroed devour magic into every spell cast so it auto checked me and the felhunter for consumable magic to heal with. This did wonders for its survivability in the late game where debuffs seemed more common.. And now if the felhunter can hold threat in Forever, that self heal will be just as useful.

Also tainted blood can finally be a useful ability if the felhunter can keep the threat to proc it on enemies.

What I like with Warlock is that I like the three spec!

I wonder if they plan to make imp full utility, because if he pulled aggro he would just get one shot anyway right. Idk, we’ll see. Great vid as always brother!

I had swapped to a demonology build a few days ago to run Soul Link for easier Hellfire in dungeons runs now that I was at cap (I was able to afford it with a couple extra points from Talented) and was amazed at how much impactful the demons became. Really impressed with the spec so far, fell in love with Demonic Brand and happy to see you share it.

In Classic WOTLK as an affliction warlock my go to pet for damage was Felhunter.

I remember in the original classic people would often call out the lock for not using their imp for blood pact but it seems they really need their succubus or felhunter to dps now. The choice between dps and a little bit of stamina is much wider now and that's great to see, now you can use your succubus and felhunter more often in pve.

Thoggrave was my voidwalker's name when i first started playing wow and my warlock was my first ever character. I even changed my warlock's name to Thoggrave during one of their many race changes over the years. Can't wait to start all over again with another warlock on Nov 4th

Decimate is such a fun talent. I think as long as we aren’t pressing shadow bolt only (which it doesn’t look like this will be the case) lock will be a blast. All 3 specs look unique and fun. I’m super excited to play
