In this last video of our series on documentation for exchange programs in Ireland, I explain how the return ticket works and what the student needs to know before embarking.
One of the main questions for those coming to do an exchange program is whether they need to buy a round-trip ticket to Brazil or if they can present a trip to another destination as part of their departure plan from Ireland.
I also explain how to prepare for immigration, what precautions to take with the chosen ticket, and why it's important to be able to demonstrate that you intend to respect the permitted period of stay in the country.
Irish immigration makes it clear that travelers must respect the granted period and leave the country before their permit expires. The final decision regarding entry always rests with the immigration officer at border control.
