Great recoding of a genius creation. BTWay, that photo of Khansahib is mine (I'm his disciple), taken in Houston Tx. USA the last time I saw him (he was 80). I put it on the internet years ago so anyone could use or enjoy - glad that you liked it. He was playing his signature Darbari Kanra at that program. đ
This marquee performance of absolute legends has turned out to be a timeless classic. Even if I hear it for endless times, yet i can't have enough of its feel
Simply said it is probably one the best jugalbandi which is a class by itself No words for its appreciation Thanks for uploading this masterpiece đ â¤
This is one of the most beautiful of all jugalbandhis of all time ! Apart from individual mastery , the ability of both great artists to be able to complement each other , note by note, phrase by phrase , and in sync with each other at every step , makes this unique recording a masterclass in developing a raga thru jugalbandhi. Such artistes are born once in a few centuries !
Such musicians born once in a millennium. They have spread our classical music to the west and made them understand what India can offer in this field!
So wish that these two geniuses had more jugalbandis like this! They had spent large chunks of their lives together but recorded only a few times. Our loss.
