Incredible and a terrific advantage to the yard. I grew up in Partick where I watched ships from H$W and Govan being launched. I then went onto serve my time in John Brown’s where I could only imagine ships being built inside as they were in places like Gothenburg and other locations. I remember when the superstructure units were being erected on the QE2, that winter one of the starboard side Aluminium units was torn off by the Gael wind that came up the Clyde.
Cant imagine how many souls were lost to ill health due to the weather/conditions they suffered through
This is a tribute to all the workers who spent their lives in the Yards

what a great Video. and the hall looks amazing. but what's more amazing and special is that is was named after one of the employees back in WW2. I can't wait to see the ships handed over to our brave men and women in the Royal Navy.

I’d suggest you look at the previous season when Palace had Eze and Olise behind Mateta. That season for the last 1/3 of the season after OG arrived we played high pressing possession football. We were dominating teams at Selhurst. I think the signings of Pino, Esse, Nketiah, and Uche in the last three windows are to enable us to play that way again and improve the squad depth generally because you’re not replacing players of Olises and Ezes quality for less than £60M on a player each. Glasner has referenced not replacing Olise properly in the context of breaking teams down, needing more dribblers/creativity to beat teams sitting in. So we’ve signed a bunch of attackers.

Scratching my head wondering how they get the finished ship out when there's another partially complete ship next to it? Do they push them straight into the water with some telescopic barge waiting to support it at ground level? Or is the turning space bigger than it looks???

Shame really, I always enjoyed driving by and seeing the ships.. the type 45’s and more recently the 26’s.. wont see them anymore
