This is a performance of towering genius! As others have commented, this deserved (at least!) an Oscar.

THIS DESERVES AN OSCAR

this is a truly excellent masterpiece!

I saw this at college - Shaw is sublime

Wow! Absolutely exceptional.

Outstandingly moving...

WTF.......words fail me, Was in tears during this. Fiona Shaw is absolutely amazing.

0:50 Fiona, you are so talented, I have goosebumps! Brava!

Caught this on BBC2 at an impressionable age - a formative experience. A long-delayed joy to experience it again.

Just Wow!
So much emotion!!

Utterly brilliant, slightly eccentric performance.  Fiona Shaw is superb.

Thank you so very, very much for uploading this. When I first saw this performance it was a revelation, and when it was taken down from YouTube I thought I'd never be able to find it again.

Best reading and best performance ever

Simply breath-taking. What fantastic insights.

Incredible

Brilliant reading brings it to life in a way that other readings have been less forceful and less all absorbing.

Just wow. I know this poem really well and that was stellar.

The poem was published exactly 100 years ago in the October issue of The Criterion #TheWasteLand100

Reading this I had no idea that Weialala leia was sung. This adds a completely new element of horror

Always wanted to see this wonderful interpretation of a masterpiece. Thanks for posting.
