A moment later, the image trembled, and the next scene showed the entire jet engulfed in flames on the outskirts of Kyiv. This is a video released by Russia itself, boasting that its jet-powered drone had burned a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet on the airfield.

But, viewers, the issue that has Western intelligence agencies most troubled this week isn't on the airfield at all. It's beneath the sea ice near the Arctic, at a depth of approximately 2,700 meters—depth enough that you'd need to stack almost nine Baiyoke Towers to reach the seabed. Something was secretly being tested there by a Russian submarine.
