For 40 years, the MDS has brought together thousands of adventurers from all over the world, united by the same quest: to face the vastness of the desert and discover something far greater than a sporting challenge. A unique experience, intense, sometimes harsh, yet profoundly human.
In the heart of the Sahara, every step becomes a victory, every dune a challenge, and every moment an encounter with oneself. In this timeless environment, certainties fade, bodies push beyond their limits, and minds open to something greater.

I did not know that something like this was possible at 52. It was the kind of happiness we felt as children, when everything around us was real, simple, and beautiful.Maybe this is the most important thing this race gave me. I know I will come back. I really want to come back. And I will definitely return again.
It was the greatest adventure of my life.
From Russia with love.
